During Air Force Civilian Service’s (AFCS) one-day hiring event on Tuesday, January 30, AFCS is interviewing qualified civilian professionals like you for mission-critical openings across numerous career fields within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC), the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC), and elements of the 75th Air Base Wing.

Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), an integral part of Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), is responsible for the development, acquisition, testing, deployment, and sustainment of all Air Force aircraft and weapons systems, including manned and unmanned aircraft, missiles, and space systems. It relies on a highly skilled and dedicated workforce, both civilian and active duty, to provide logistics, maintenance, and engineering support to the Air Force’s major command organizations.

Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) plays an essential role in securing the nation and deterring acts of aggression against it. It is responsible for overseeing, testing, modernizing, and sustaining every nuclear weapon in the Air Force’s inventory. At Hill Air Force Base, AFNWC manages both the Minute Man III Systems Directorate, responsible for inception-to-retirement integrated management of the LGM-30G Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system; as well as the Sentinel Systems Directorate, responsible for overseeing the total life cycle of the LGM-35A Sentinel weapon system, which will replace the LGM-30 Minuteman III. The directorate is also responsible for the Mark 21A Reentry Vehicle, Fuze Modernization, and Next-Generation Reentry Vehicle programs.

Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) manages the repair and maintenance of Air Force equipment and facilities and expedites the distribution of supplies and resources across the Air Force. It provides the parts, fuel, equipment, and personnel that allow the Air Force to maintain its edge in air, space, and cyberspace. Among its many responsibilities, AFSC oversees mission support, civil engineering, medical care, airfield operations, command posts, explosive ordnance disposal, public affairs, and financial management, as well as engineering, contracting, logistics, small business management, personnel services, judge advocates, and installation safety and security.

Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) provides depot-level maintenance for more than 700 aircraft, facilitating logistics support, maintenance, distribution, and engineering management for Air Force aircraft from the F-22 Raptor and F-35 Thunderbolt II 5th generation fighters to the venerable A-10 Warthog, C-130 Hercules, and T-31 Talon, along with 27 other weapon systems, including the Minute Man Intercontinental Ballistic Missile.

75th Air Base Wing. As Hill Air Force Base’s host wing, its mission is to provide support services and infrastructure to the base’s various tenant units and other organizations that call the base home. The 75th Air Base Wing ensures the operational readiness of the base by overseeing essential functions, including security, facilities maintenance, personnel support, and logistical services.
