C&IT Specialists operate and maintain the eyes and ears of the Department of the Air Force. They oversee the complex computing and communications infrastructures and execute key digital policy measures. Civilian employees provide systems engineering, acquisition, installation, operations support, cybersecurity, as well as maintenance of data and voice networks to support the U.S. in its global interests. Working on the leading edge of innovation in cyberspace and across the digital landscape, including AI, machine learning, AR/VR, and advanced computer systems.

As a Cyber & Information Technology PAQ intern, you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with IT Specialists, Computer Scientists, and Computer Engineers, making contributions to real-world challenges while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. You’ll have training opportunities to sharpen your skills through formal training in Cyber Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, Infrastructure, and Program Management, as well as the opportunity to build on your leadership potential through our leadership development curriculum.

This is a development program where promotions and yearly salary increases are granted based on performance and supervisory approval. Upon successful completion of the formal training plan, the PAQ Program offers a permanent position at AFCS, making it the perfect launching pad for your career.

PCIP QUALIFICATIONS

  • U.S. citizenship

  • Full-time undergraduate student (sophomore or junior with at least 60 credits) or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or related fields

  • GPA 2.95 or above

  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance funded by Department of Air Force (e.g., Background check)
