In today’s world, information is often the most valuable commodity of all. Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) Intelligence Officers support combat operations by performing and overseeing the analysis and merging of collected intelligence in the Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) arenas. Civilian Intelligence Officers participate in all phases of intelligence operations to include Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED). In addition, Cyberspace Operations are a major responsibility of an AFCS Intelligence Officer.

Intelligence gathering, management, and exploitation takes many forms. Intelligence Officer responsibilities include exchanging and collecting intelligence with other services, agencies, and governments; and analyzing data to advise planners of options to accomplish objectives to support customer requirements. Your ability to collect and evaluate complex information and communicate your findings in a meaningful way will have a major impact on the success of our mission. Students and entry-level candidates interested in AFCS Intelligence careers should consider the PALACE Acquire intern program. Details can be found here.
