AFCS Safety career opportunities include:

  • Safety and Occupational Health – Focused on minimizing loss of resources and protecting the safety and health of United States Air Force personnel from occupational deaths, injuries, or illnesses.
  • Explosives Safety – Includes weapons, explosives, missile, and nuclear safety programs.
  • Safety Engineer – Tasked with reducing risk by applying engineering fundamentals and concepts.
  • Flight Safety – Responsible for the United States Air Force Aviation Mishap Prevention Program, and the development of aviation mishap prevention strategies to properly manage risks.
