COMPETITIVE PAY. GREAT BENEFITS.

IF YOU HAVE THE DRIVE TO SERVE, WE’VE GOT JUST THE VEHICLE

Did you know 32% of the U.S. Air Force’s workforce are Civilian Airmen? It’s true. They take the same oath, receive many of the same government benefits, and patriotically serve their nation, but they don’t wear the uniform, and don’t deploy (unless volunteering to do so).

These Airmen come from every walk of life and background, from scientists and engineers to skilled laborers and retired military, military spouses, and those with conditions that disqualify them from military service. And while they are as diverse as America itself, they all share one thing in common: the patriotic desire and drive to serve.

The D.R.I.V.E. program provides a path forward for College ROTC and Basic Military Training personnel who, through no fault of your own, have been disqualified from military service. Whether you’re coming from ROTC, Airmen Training, or Technical School, the D.R.I.V.E. Program has a spot for you.

D.R.I.V.E places you into positions within Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS), where you continue to play an essential role in helping the U.S. Air Force fulfill its important mission.

SOME OF THE GREATEST BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR THE AIR FORCE AS A CIVILIAN ARE THE BENEFITS THEMSELVES:

  • Paid Time Off: 11 Federal Holidays & 13 Days Annual Sick Leave

  • Paid Vacation: 13 To 26 Days

  • Insurance For You & Your Family: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, & Long-Term Care
