The Operations Career Field is looking for Civilian Airmen and Guardians who actively support the U.S.’s national security through vigilance using your unique airplane flight instructor skillset. Seeking Civilian Flight Instructor (CFII) highly qualified CFIIs and provides T-6A instructor pilot training, preparing them to instruct AF student pilots at one of three AF undergraduate pilot training bases.
In the first year, the PAQ will complete T-6A Undergraduate Flying Training (UPT), followed by T-6A Pilot Instructor Training (PIT). After being certified during three-year developmental program, the PAQ will provide flight instruction to AF student pilots in all phases of T-6A syllabus training to assist in creating pilots to fly, fight, and win airpower, anytime, anywhere. PAQ QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. citizenship
Recent graduate (within two years of completing degree or within six years if a Veteran) or full-time undergraduate/graduate student graduating during current semester
Bachelor’s or master’s degree as Professional Pilot from an FAA-approved Part 141 program
GPA 2.95 or above
Ability to obtain Security Clearance funded by Department of Air Force (e.g., Background check)
