Personnel in the Air Force and Space Force History and Museums Program are postured to meet their mission of improving U.S. Air Force and Space Force combat capability through the collection, preservation, interpretation, dissemination, and display of historical information, artifacts, and Air Force and Space Force heritage. As a PAQ Intern, you will work shoulder to shoulder with current Historians on challenging and rewarding real-world projects, where you'll make real contributions and gain invaluable hands-on experience.

PAQ Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Recent graduate (within two years of completing degree or within six years if a Veteran)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in History, Archival/Library Science, or related fields
  • GPA 3.5 or above
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance funded by Department of the Air Force (e.g., Background check)

PAQ Program Details

  • A formal three-year training and career development track

  • Annual performance-based promotions
  • Placement into a permanent Air Force Civilian Service position once PAQ Program is successfully completed
