drives into the future

Cyberspace and Information Technology (C&IT) Specialists are the eyes and ears of the Department of the Air Force. These professionals play a critical role in maintaining superiority through secure and reliable data and systems in the air, cyberspace, and space domains. They oversee the complex computing and communications infrastructures and execute key digital policy measures. They provide systems engineering, acquisition, installation, operations support, cybersecurity, as well as maintenance of data and voice networks to support the U.S. in its global interests, and focus on AI, machine learning, AR/VR, and advanced computer systems.

As a C&IT intern, you’ll work shoulder to shoulder with IT Specialists, Computer Scientists, and Computer Engineers, making contributions to real-world challenges while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. You’ll have training opportunities to sharpen your skills through formal training in Cyber Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, Infrastructure, and Program Management, as well as the opportunity to build on your leadership potential through our leadership development curriculum.

This is a development program where promotions and yearly salary increases are granted based upon performance and supervisory approval. Upon successful completion of the formal training plan, the PAQ Program offers a permanent position at AFCS, making it the perfect launching pad for your career.
