Your education, experience, and dedication can make a difference

The U.S. Air Force employs a dedicated team of veterinarians and animal care specialists to provide the vital services needed by Air Force service animals—not to mention the pets of our Airmen and their families.

In addition to medical attention and preventative care, we provide daily routines and exercising to keep our animal partners in the best shape and ready for action when the call comes.

Like our counterparts in private practice and veterinary hospitals, we at AFCS provide excellent care to each of our animal charges. But we also work every day in the defense of our nation and the values we hold dear.

If you are interested in exploring AFCS opportunities in any of the animal care services, register here to receive up-to-the-minute job openings as they become available.

Department of the Air Force has implemented COVID-19 vaccination requirements set forth in Executive Order 14043. Federal employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. Upon selection, you will be required to provide documentation proof as “fully vaccinated” prior to issuance of a firm job offer. Air Force will provide additional information regarding what information or documentation will be needed and how you can request a legally required exemption from this requirement.
